St Barts Job Vacancies

St Bartholomew’s School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment.  All successful candidates will be subject to and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check along with other relevant employment checks.

We would love to hear from you, even if we are not currently advertising for a role as a Teacher or member of Support Staff in the area that you would be interested in working. Please complete the Expression of Interest form and we will contact you to discuss any opportunities.

St Bartholomew’s School is part of a growing number of schools leading the way to a more school-led system of teacher training. Our training leads to a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and QTS and is accredited by Oxford Brookes University. The course lasts a year and trainees spend the majority of their time in school learning from the best practitioners and getting to know how to support students in the best possible ways.

We can provide you with support and guidance on your application and might be able to offer you school experience if you want a taster of what teaching could be like. Bursaries of up to £30, 000 may be available for trainees in certain subjects including for example mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, languages, computing and geography. For further information on what becoming a teacher might involve more generally, you can visit www.education.gov.uk/get-into-teaching.

We currently have vacancies to start training from next September and we would be very interested to hear from you if you are thinking of becoming a teacher, or know someone who is. We’re looking for people who have (or will have) a degree, have a passion for teaching and want to inspire young people to fulfil their potential. You may even be thinking of a change in career.
